Feb. 1, 2023: Good morning, Bay Islands! The rain and clouds stuck around longer yesterday than I thought they would, giving many of us about a third of an inch of rain yesterday. We also got a round of rain just after midnight, giving many of us about a tenth of an inch. This morning we woke up with gusty winds and seas around 4 feet, especially on the south side.
Today we will have one more windy day and night, with daytime winds from the east 15-20 mph and nighttime winds 20-25 mph and seas 3-4 feet. There will only be a slight chance of rain tonight and tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow the winds will be a bit calmer, around 15 mph and seas 2-3 feet.
Tomorrow night into Friday morning there is a decent chance of seeing a shower. Friday should be partly cloudy with northeast winds 10-15 mph and seas around 2 feet.
Saturday through Tuesday there will be scattered showers each day, and the chance of heavy rain is better farther west. There will be periods of sun and clouds and periods of rain. Winds will be light and seas 1-2 feet. Have a great Wednesday!
