As of 9:24 here are the rain totals for the island. As you can see, I’m the big winner here on Jonesville Point with about a quarter of an inch of rain.

Our current satellite shows clouds moving toward the northwest, so we should have some clouds and a few showers around through mid-morning. The afternoon will be sunny and getting windier as the evening goes along, up to 30 mph tonight. We will continue to have a chance of overnight or early morning showers tomorrow and Thursday, but otherwise mostly sunny and windy today and tomorrow. Thursday the winds start calming to around 15 mph and even calmer Friday into the weekend. Starting Saturday into the early part of next week we will have a better chance of scattered showers, around a 50 percent chance each day, but we will also have periods of sun each day. Have a great Tuesday!

I'm a native of Columbus, Ga., but lived from 2003-2019 in Lawton, Oklahoma. I've always been a weather geek and now I get to live the dream on an island that doesn't have a good weather forecast system.
