Dec. 10, 2022: Good morning, Roatan! Once again we wake up to rain. Overnight many of us got between a quarter and half an inch as of 7 a.m. and there is still rain around. Utila has .61 of an inch since midnight and they were slammed with 3.64 inches yesterday.
Clouds and rain will be scattered this morning, but like yesterday should decrease through the morning and this afternoon should be mostly sunny. Winds start out with a few squalls to around 15 mph pushing seas on the south side to 3-4 feet (1-1.3 meters) but they also should calm as the day goes on to 5 mph this afternoon with seas at 2 feet (.6 meters).
Rain chances return tonight and early tomorrow morning, but again the late morning and afternoon should be mostly sunny. Winds should be fairly calm and seas should be 1-2 feet.
The period Sunday night through Wednesday should be drier. Winds on Monday should be fairly calm, Tuesday they will be back up to around 10-15 mph and Wednesday looks pretty windy, with east winds 20-25 mph.
The models still disagree on whether we will get a norther next weekend. We should know more in the coming days. Have a great weekend!
