Satellite loop around 7 a.m.

Dec. 11, 2022: Good morning, Roatan! Overnight the west side of the island and Utila got half an inch of rain or a little more, while the east side got about a quarter of an inch or a little less.

On the satellite this morning we see a few clouds and showers, but most of them are to our north and there are fewer than yesterday morning. Still, we will keep a chance of a shower in the forecast through the early part of the morning, but by mid-morning we should be mostly clear and dry. That will continue through the day, with east winds 5-10 mph and seas around 2 feet (.6 meters).

The week ahead looks mostly dry with only a small chance of an early morning shower, especially Tuesday morning.

Winds will start the week fairly calm on Monday with east winds 5-10 mph and seas 1-2 feet (.3-.6 meters).

Tuesday winds will be 7-12 mph and seas around 1 foot.

Wednesday winds will be 15 mph during the day and 20 mph at night with seas around 4 feet (1.3 meters). They should be calmer toward the end of the week.

Right now most models say the norther will stay to our north and shouldn’t affect us next weekend. Have a great Sunday!
