March 6, 2022: Good morning, Roatan! Those clouds we saw yesterday gave us a few sprinkles, but nothing more than .06 of an inch anywhere on the island about 11:30 a.m. This morning around 6 a.m. a few of us midisland got a spot of rain, with .07 recorded in Sandy Bay.
The week ahead looks like we will have moderate east winds 10-15 mph during the day and 2-3 foot waves, with gustier conditions at night 15-20 mph and 3-4 foot waves. It is always possible to get a brief pop-up shower, especially in the overnights and early mornings, but we will stay mostly dry.
Our next system still looks good to come in from the north on the 14th, and the long-range forecast is trying to give us another one for the 21st. That is still a long way off, so things can change, but this is awful late in the year to be getting northers. Have a great Sunday!
