Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day is a happy pumpkin on a sunnier day on Camp Bay from Shelley Shepard Zanutto. Most of us are dealing with showers this morning, good for about a quarter of an inch since midnight, though the east side of Utila has gotten 2.6 inches with some pretty heavy downpours. We’re also dealing with a stiff west wind at 15-20 mph giving us 3-4 foot seas from the west, so this is one of the 15-20 days each year it is wavy on West Bay Beach. Scattered showers and west winds will be the rule today and tomorrow, then things get a bit better toward the end of the week.

On satellite at 7:30 a.m. we can see that the west side and Utila have more cloud cover and the east side and Guanaja have scattered clouds. Rain is moving from northwest to southeast and we should see fewer rain showers midday and afternoon, though still and chance of rain that continues through tomorrow. Winds tomorrow should be similar to today, but Wednesday things start getting better, with lower chances of rain and calmer seas. Thursday into the weekend looks gorgeous, with calmer seas and very low rain chances.
