Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Matthew Harper and shows a tern waiting for a boat at the end of the dock in Helene with the mainland clear in the background. We had quite a rainy day yesterday with most locations getting 2-3 inches. As we wake up this morning there are some showers over Utila, but today should be a little less rainy than yesterday.

At 6:45 a.m. we see a few showers scattered around the islands. We expect partly cloudy skies and a shower here or there. Our wind today will be from the northwest 5-10 mph and seas around 2 feet north side. Tomorrow into Monday winds will turn more westerly and pick up to 15 mph with seas north and west side 3-4 feet. That’s not terrible, but for folks at West Bay Beach that aren’t used to waves, that can seem pretty wavy. Have a great weekend!
