Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Dirk Yelinek, who captured this awesome glow from West Bay. Over the last 24 hours we’ve seen some scattered showers, with the big winner being Guanaja, with nearly half an inch just after midnight. We will continue to deal with calm winds and seas, scattered showers and increasing showers toward the weekend.

In our short range forecast today through Friday, we will continue to see light and variable winds and fairly calm seas with scattered showers.

This weekend, take note of this wind forecast for Saturday. A cold front will stall north of the Yucatan. It won’t make it all the way down here, so we won’t have a norther, but moisture will be forced to the south, which will make this weekend fairly rainy. Not raining every moment, but plenty of rain to deal with.

Carniceria Rosita is always on the forefront of good causes. They remind us that October is the month to get that breast cancer screening. It is also a great month to support them by buying some of their delicious fresh meats at their locations in Coxen Hole and French Harbour.

Tides continue quite mild under a waxing crescent moon. Have a great Wednesday!
