Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Mark Taylor, who captured this super-sleek waterspout near Pigeon Cay this past Saturday. It is possible something similar could have been seen yesterday evening, as a storm approached Utila from the mainland. It died out over Utila, as the west side of the island got nearly an inch and the east side got only about a quarter of an inch. Our weather is still looking very nice.
At 7:30 a.m. we can see some fair weather clouds over the west side and Utila. What nighttime storms we are getting right now are coming from activity on the mainland that moves north and, usually, gets weaker as to moves toward us. As such, Utila and the west side of Roatan have the best chance of an evening shower, but still chances overall are fairly low. During the day we will continue to have partly cloudy skies. Today is the last day of relatively calm winds and seas. This evening and tomorrow we go back to more typical winds and seas, from the east at 15 mph and seas 3 feet. Have a great Thursday!
