Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day is sunset on Utila, with only a few cirrus clouds overhead and one cumulus cloud in the distance. That is good illustration of our weather recently: Mostly fair with a shower here or there. Around 2 a.m. Sandy Bay got about a tenth of an inch of rain but most of us stayed dry. The big story is that we will have fairly calm winds 5-10 mph from the east and seas 1-2 feet today and most of tomorrow, meaning beautiful conditions on the seas. Starting Friday winds start to get a little brisker to around 15 mph and seas get back up to 3 feet.

At 7:30 a.m. we can see a rain cloud that brought a quick shower to Helene moving away from the islands. We should be mostly sunny. With little wind, it will be quite hot as we get up to around 90 degrees.

The calendar may say September, but in Roatan it feels like summer right through October. But September does mean North American football and this weekend is the first with a full slate of games. Get all your barbecuing needs fulfilled at Carniceria Rosita in French Harbour or Coxen Hole.

Tides continue quite mild. Have a great Wednesday!
