Good morning Bay Islands. Considering the deep affection islanders have for country music, the death of Dolly is an especially sad day here, so we need a rainbow photo. We have a photo of the day this morning from Katy Pandy, who captured a cruise ship sailing into a rainbow in Flowers Bay. We have rain showers and a little thunder, especially on the far east end and over Guanaja at 6:30 a.m. We will continue to deal with scattered showers, especially mornings with partly cloudy skies afternoons.
Here is the 6:30 a.m. satellite image. The rain over Guanaja and the east end is not moving very fast. For the rest of the morning, we should see the east side rain decrease to partly cloudy skies and I can’t rule out a stray shower midday or afternoon, but most of us should be mostly sunny. Another chance of rain tonight, but it shouldn’t be as much as last night/this morning. Winds should be from the east 15-20 and seas 3-4 feet the next couple of days.
