Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Bob Jacobs, who caught the rain rolling in last night around nightfall over his home in Palmetto Bay. Overnight into this morning many of us have gotten between half an inch to three quarters of an inch, with more falling as of 7 a.m. So far Utila has missed out on the rain.
On satellite at 7:10 a.m. we can see rain coming from our rain factory on the Mosquito Coast and bring rain and a bit of thunder to the islands. It even looks like Utila might get a bit of rain this morning. We expect this to decrease as the morning goes on and to see some moments of sun, but we can’t rule out a shower here or there today. After today, things look drier for Thursday and Friday as a drier airmass moves overhead.

Wind and wave forecast: We start the day with 20 mph east winds and seas 4 feet. They should calm a bit this afternoon to 15 mph and 3 feet, but by evening get back up to 20-25 mph and 4 feet. Tomorrow and Friday look a bit calmer, with east winds 10-15 mph and seas around 3 feet.
