Jan. 11, 2023: Good morning, Roatan! Yesterday around 5:30 the island got a heavy rain that gave many of us an inch of rain while Utila stayed dry. This morning we have rain around the island on radar. We will have a chance of scattered showers throughout today with a mix of sun and clouds. Winds will rise to around 10 mph from the east this afternoon and seas, which this morning are around 1 foot, will rise to 2 feet.
Overnight winds will pick up to around 15 mph and seas to 2-3 feet.
Tomorrow should be mostly dry, with only a small chance of seeing a shower. Winds will be from the east around 10 mph and seas at 2 feet.
Thursday night through the day on Friday there will be a good chance of rain and winds, while only 5-10 mph, will start to turn from the north. Saturday there should be periods of heavy rain as the cold front passes and winds will be up to around 25 mph and it could be a bad day on the seas, with waves at least 5 feet, perhaps 6-7 feet.
Sunday should be a beautiful day if you like cool weather. Sunday and Monday morning we might see some 69 degree temperatures. Monday winds will turn back to the east and we should have a dry week next week. Have a great Wednesday!
