Jan. 10, 2023: Good morning, Roatan! Last night most of us stayed dry, though Punta Blanca picked up a quarter of an inch just after midnight. Yesterday the whole island got some rain at midday, ranging from .15 on the west side to half an inch at Politilly. This morning skies are mostly clear, winds calm, and seas are 1-2 feet.
Today we will be mostly sunny with only a very slight chance of a scattered shower.
Tonight into tomorrow morning we will have a chance of seeing a shower and winds and seas will remain fairly calm in the morning. Tomorrow evening winds will pick up from the east to around 10 mph and to 15 mph tomorrow night. Tomorrow night we will again have a small chance of a shower, but Thursday should be nice with east winds around 10 mph and seas around 2 feet.
Friday we will start to see our winds turn to the north as a cold front nears. Winds will be from the north around 10 mph and there is only a small chance of rain.

The windy rainy day should be Saturday, with north winds to 20 mph and seas perhaps 4-5 feet, with scattered heavy rain. Previous northers have stalled over us, giving us a lot of rain, but this one should move through, bringing clearer skies and cooler temperatures Sunday and Monday.

Here is the Euro model predicting cooler weather this weekend. The blue represents 2 to 4 degrees cooler than normal, which could mean lows of 69 or 70 Sunday and Monday morning and highs around 79. Have a great Tuesday!
