Nov. 19, 2022: Good morning, Roatan! Yesterday the west side got a lot of rain, generally between 2.5 and 3 inches, but most of it came before 8 a.m. Here on the east side we got much less, from a quarter and half an inch, but it came pretty steady throughout the day yesterday.

This morning we have thunderstorms east of the island moving our way, so some of us should get some rain through the morning. But once we get these morning showers out of the way, we expect less rain and more sun through the midday and afternoon. Winds will be light and variable and seas around 2 feet.

In the satellite image you will see an area of storms off the Mosquito Coast of Nicaragua that is forecast to move northwest and bring us a better chance of rain and storms tomorrow afternoon into Monday. Sunday and Monday winds will continue to be mild, except in squalls, and seas around 2 feet.

The middle of next week looks a little less rainy, with chances about 40 percent each day starting Tuesday. There is good agreement that we should get a norther next weekend, which will bring rain and perhaps some strong northerly winds and high seas. We will keep an eye on it. Have a great weekend!
