Oct. 21, 2022: Good morning, Roatan! Today and tonight are forecast to be the rainiest and windiest 24 hours of our norther. As you can see in the satellite, there is good rain north of us and it is moving toward the southeast. Seas are already 2-3 feet on the north side and should pick up as the day goes on, perhaps to 5-6 feet this evening and overnight, so be careful on the sea. Winds should also pick up from the north, 15-23 mph by evening. We are looking for another 2-3 inches on top of what we have already had today and tonight. On the bright side, rain looks much less tomorrow, with about a 40 percent chance of rain, especially in the morning and north winds around 15 mph. Seas will still be fairly strong on the northside at 4-5 feet. Sunday we will have about a 30 percent chance of a passing shower and winds from the north around 5 mph and seas at 2 feet on the north side. The week ahead looks mostly dry with only a small chance of a passing shower and fairly calm winds and seas turning back from the east. Have a great day and carry an umbrella.
