July 11, 2022: Good morning, Roatan! That was quite a storm we experienced in the early morning hours. I got a peak gust of 38 mph and a third of an inch, but many folks got much more, including .72 of an inch for West End and over an inch for Camp Bay and Punta Blanca.

The storm is mostly north of us now, with a lot of clouds to our east. We should stay partly to mostly cloudy today with a chance of a shower, especially in the morning. You may have noticed we are having extreme low tides around midday, about 4 inches lower than our average lowest tide. Winds today will be 15-20 mph and seas 2 feet (.6 meters) and nighttime winds 20-25 mph with 3 foot seas. We will again have a chance of overnight showers.

Tomorrow looks a little windier than today, with Wednesday and Thursday being quite windy, with daytime winds 20-25 mph and nighttime winds 25-30 mph. As we get toward the weekend, that should calm back to 15 mph days and 20 mph nights. Each night expect about a 30 percent chance of rain. It’s that time of year. Have a great week.
