July 9, 2022: Good morning, Roatan. Some of us got a good dose of rain, both in the morning and with a downpour in the mid-afternoon. Politilly got an inch and a half, Punta Blanca and Coral View got an inch and I got over half an inch here on Jonesville Point. On the west side, Sandy Bay got just under half an inch, West End got a quarter of an inch and West Bay only picked up .04 of an inch.
This morning we have some low clouds and on radar is looks like a bit of rain over Barbarat, so perhaps the far east end of the island could get some rain around 7 a.m. We’re looking for a pretty nice day with moderate east winds 10-15 mph and seas at 2 feet (.6 meters). The chance of rain today should be smaller overall than yesterday.
Tomorrow will be a little windier than today, with east winds at 15-20 mph and seas at 2-3 feet. Tomorrow night there is a bit of a higher chance of rain, perhaps 50/50, that will continue into Monday morning.
Next week looks windier than this week, with evening winds getting up to 25 mph and even 30 mph around midweek.
Have a great weekend!
