GFS model run starting Sunday and ending May 29.

May 17, 2022: Good morning, Roatan! Enjoy one more day of calm conditions! Winds today will be 5 mph during the day and 10 mph at night with 1 foot (.3 meter) waves. Winds pick up tomorrow to 10-15 mph from the east/northeast during the day and 2 foot seas (.6 meter) and 15-20 mph Wednesday night. Thursday and Friday winds will be in the 20 mph range and gustier at night with 4 foot seas (1.3 meters). The GFS model is still trying to form a storm over our head starting Sunday and turning it into a tropical storm toward Yucatan. The model run you see here is from this Sunday through the next Sunday. Most other models show heavy rain on the Pacific Coast of Central America and us staying dry. I would put the chance of this storm happening at 30 percent. We’ll keep an eye on it.
