March 9, 2022: Good morning, Roatan! At 7:30 a.m. we have some broken clouds in the sky, which is more clouds than we had at any point yesterday. We expect them to clear out and blue skies to return. We’ll have east winds 12-17 mph and seas 2-3 feet (.6 to1 meter) and gusting to 25 mph tonight with 4 foot seas (1.3 meters). Thursday and Friday we may have periods of calmer winds, but for the most part, they will stay 12-17 during the day and 20-25 at night.
Saturday winds should calm a bit in advance of the cool front that comes Sunday. Models continue to be very conservative on the amount of rain we will get from this system, but overall, next week looks like we will have chances of rain, as opposed to this week where we have almost no chance. Have a great Wednesday!
