Jan. 3, 2022: Good morning Roatan. This is the day we’ve been waiting for, the day with a chance of rain! As you can see in the map, our rain is only indirectly related to an approaching cold front. The front will stall to our north, from Cozumel to Chetumal. This will allow moisture to build in ahead of the front. Rain chances will be good from this afternoon through tomorrow morning. After the rain clears out Tuesday afternoon should be nice, with winds out of the east at 7-12 mph and seas down to 2 feet (.6 meters). Wednesday there will be a chance of a morning shower but after that partly cloudy with east winds 5-10 mph and seas still at 2 feet. Thursday winds will be back up to 15-20 mph. Friday through the weekend the trade winds return at 17-25 mph but right now there is also a small chance of a scattered shower through the weekend. Have a great week!
