Good morning Bay Islands. We can see scattered popcorn clouds around our islands at 7 a.m. West End got about a tenth of an inch from a shower around 6 a.m. and the west side of Utila got about a quarter of an inch overnight. Today and tomorrow we will have scattered showers here and there, and a trend toward getting more rain over the next few days than we have gotten the first half of the month. On the bright side, seas will be quite calm, with east winds around 10 mph and seas 1-2 feet, so jump on the ferry and put down the seasickness bag.

We’re in the opening month of U.S. football season and the action is intensificado (intense). So is the flavor of your favorite cut of meat for the grill at Carniceria Rosita in French Harbour and Coxen Hole.

I'm a native of Columbus, Ga., but lived from 2003-2019 in Lawton, Oklahoma. I've always been a weather geek and now I get to live the dream on an island that doesn't have a good weather forecast system.
