Well, here’s a first. I got four pictures of the same event Tuesday evening: Scott Kennett, Mara Owens, Lavinna Arlotta and this one from Mark and Jackie Taylor. These are crepuscular rays, sunrays that shine either through openings in clouds on the horizon or sometimes through tall buildings, and since there are no tall buildings on Roatan (unless everyone is standing behind Prospera) I’m guessing these are rays through clouds on the horizon. Good job all and a spectacular light show from our Creator.
At 7:30 a.m. things look pretty quiet among our islands, except for it being a bit windier than normal (east winds 20 mph and seas 3-4 feet). We will continue a bit windy today and tomorrow and perhaps calm a bit for Saturday. On satellite there is perhaps a small shower in that popcorn cloud over the main island of Guanaja, but other than that we are mostly sunny and will stay that way today and tomorrow.
