Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Mary Beth Adams and she calls it “Flying Home.” Our photo winner for March wins a $50 voucher to The Lounge Roatan.
Apologies to yesterday’s contestant: Daniel Ebanks, who sent his photo from the Cayos Moskitos off the Mosquito Coast of Honduras and Nicaragua where I hear there is some good lobstering. Things are quiet today, but we’re still watching a potential system for the 10th.

On satellite this morning we have a few high clouds, the kind that don’t have rain. We look mostly sunny into the first part of next week. There is the possibility of some more clouds toward Wednesday and Thursday and maybe a very small chance of a morning shower, but we look mostly dry in the short-term forecast.

In the Euro forecast we can see two cold fronts coming down out of North America. The one coming Wednesday looks like it will push east of us and only bring us a few clouds. The forecast models are still looking at March 10-11 for a front that could bring us some rain. This might still fall apart, as this time of year cold front tend not to make it this far south, but we will still keep an eye on it.
Wind and Galaxy Wave forecast: Winds are still quite calm at 5 mph from the east and seas 1-2 feet. We will stay pretty calm this week. Tuesday night into Wednesday morning we will see a bit stronger winds 15-20 mph followed by a Wednesday with calmer winds, but from the west. They turn back to the east Thursday, but still fairly calm.

We are about to enjoy some picture perfect days for grilling, and if you grill, you know there is no better source for your meat that Carniceria Rosita in French Harbour and Coxen Hole.

Lowest tide is 4:45 p.m. and our crescent moon starts to grow.
Have a great Sunday!
