May 20, 2023: Good morning Bay Islands. We wake up to 10 mph winds and 1-2 foot seas and that is about the windiest it is going to get for the next week.

This map shows the wave action for the Atlantic Ocean leading into the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen it this calm in the entire region, and this will last most of the week ahead. It is almost like the Lesser Antilles and Bahamas are acting as a reef and the Gulf and Caribbean are a bay. If you had a big boat and wanted the travel around, this would be the week for it. But it better have a motor because there’s not much wind.

There will be a few clouds around today and a VERY slight chance of a shower toward midday. There will also be a VERY small chance of a shower tonight. After that there is NO chance of rain until the end of next week. With very few clouds and no wind, it’s going to be pretty hot. Low tide is 3:26 p.m. Have a great weekend!
