Dec. 21, 2022

Dec. 21, 2022: Good morning, Roatan! We stayed dry last night and this morning we have some passing clouds, and a small chance of a passing shower this morning. Today, Thursday and Friday will be mostly sunny with east winds about 5-10 mph and seas 1-2 feet and overnights we will have a small chance of a shower and winds around 15 mph with seas 2-3 feet.

Friday night into the weekend our rain chances go up, but the models are holding back the strong north winds until sometime Monday, Tuesday or even possibly Wednesday (especially in the Euro forecast). Saturday and especially Sunday winds should be fairly moderate except in squalls, but especially Sunday there should be a little swell, which are waves caused by winds further away. That should give the north side 2-3 foot sea Sunday. There is still a good chance we will be dealing with some heavy seas Sunday night into Monday and Tuesday, especially on the north side. Through the entire period Saturday through Tuesday, rainfall totals should be in the 3-4 inch range with a few locally higher amounts. Have a great Wednesday!
