Sept. 9, 2022

Radar from 1:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. today

Sept. 9, 2022: Good morning, Roatan! Some rain showers passed by early this morning and most of us got a little, but none of us got a lot. The highest amounts were in Punta Blanca with .23 of an inch and Coral View with .20. West Bay and West End only got a couple hundredths of an inch and Sandy Bay got about a tenth of an inch. We got enough in Jonesville Point to turn the dust on my car into mud, but not much more. We do have the clouds hanging around, which should clear up as the day goes along, but enjoy the shade while you got it. Seas are also up a bit on the south side to 2 feet (.6 meters) but should calm as the day goes along. Our tide was super high this morning, a condition that will continue through the next couple of days of full moon.

We’ll keep a small chance of a morning shower, but as you can see, most of the rain has passed by us. This afternoon should be partly cloudy to mostly sunny. We will keep daily rain chances, especially in the evening or overnight at about 30 percent each day. Winds should be fairly calm until Saturday night, when the pick up into the 20 mph range and fall back to 10-15 mph during the day. Have a great Friday!
