Dec. 22, 2021

Dec. 22, 2021: Good morning, Roatan! Most of us got a little rain early this morning as the front came through. The north wind also blew pretty strongly. Coral View picked up a gust above 30 mph right behind the front. Right now we are dealing with a few clouds on the back side of the front, but those should fade away and the rest of the day should be mostly sunny.
Winds should calm as the day goes along but it will still be breezy, in the 12-20 mph range. Wave action on the north side will stay in the 4-foot range (1.3 meters). Tomorrow looks gorgeous, with sunny skies and temperatures a degree or two cooler than we are used to. Also the air should feel lighter and a little less humid. Winds will be from the north/northwest at 3-7 mph and seas on the northside at 2 feet (.6 meters). Friday will be nice as well, though in the evening through Saturday morning there will be a chance of rain as a wave of moisture passes through. Other than that, the holiday weekend looks beautiful. Enjoy!
