Nov. 7, 2021: Most rain totals overnight were light. We got .06 of an inch around 3 a.m. Yesterday, many of us picked up a downpour around midday. Utila has had about an inch in the last 24 hours. This morning there are scattered showers on radar, mostly to our west.
We’ll have partly cloudy skies and scattered showers today. Winds will be from the north/northwest 7-12 mph and seas at 3 feet (1 meter) especially on the north side. There’s a pretty good chance of rain overnight tonight.
Tomorrow and through the midweek our rain chances go down. Monday we will have north winds 12-17 mph and seas will stay a bit choppy on the north side, but starting Tuesday we will have picture-perfect weather — mostly clear skies, comfortable temperatures, light winds, calmer seas and a very low chance of a passing shower.
Next weekend is looking pretty stormy as another cold front comes near. This is getting to be a cycle of weekend rain and weekday nice weather, but I’m not complaining.
