Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day could be called “Silhouettes on Utila” and was submitted by Jeff Bodin.
We have a big change in weather upcoming, with more rain, a north wind and temperatures a few degrees cooler.

On satellite at 7:30 a.m. you can see the cold front draped across the Gulf from Yucatan to Florida. Today we will see increasing clouds, with winds around 10 mph shifting from south to west to north by midnight. We will have a decent chance of rain overnight. Rain should lessen during the day tomorrow, but our best chance for some heavy rains comes tomorrow night through the day on Thursday. Current models show 2-3 inches, but when we get these northers, heavy rains can mean higher rain totals. The highest winds should come Thursday evening through the day Friday, with 15 mph winds and seas 4 and perhaps at times 5 feet Northside. Rain and wind lessen Friday into the weekend and this weekend actually looks gorgeous. This front should also knock our temperatures back a few degrees, with lows around 70 (21C) and highs perhaps only around 77 (25C).
