Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day is called “El y Ella” by the photographer, Naomi Jackson on Utila. This happy couple will be swaying in the windy conditions the next couple of days.

On satellite we have clear skies, but also windy conditions, with east winds 20 mph and seas 4-5 feet. Tonight and tomorrow night will be the windiest, with 30 mph wind gusts and seas perhaps up to 6 feet. We should be dry until we get to Monday when we get a strong, but short, norther, giving us 30 mph north winds Monday night and seas 6-7 feet as well as scattered showers, but things will get calmer quickly and by Wednesday we will be back to east winds and dry conditions.

If you are planning a trip to Roatan via cruise or plane, keep in mind that no matter which direction the wind is blowing, the other side of the island will be calm and you can enjoy a great boat ride and snorkel, as Jolly Roger Roatan finds you the calmest cove in the island and gets you back on time.

Lowest tide is 5 p.m. Have a great Friday!

I'm a native of Columbus, Ga., but lived from 2003-2019 in Lawton, Oklahoma. I've always been a weather geek and now I get to live the dream on an island that doesn't have a good weather forecast system.
