Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Brian Gabrysh in West End.

Many of us woke up to a cool shower around 5:30 a.m. that brought about a tenth of an inch of rain and lowered our temperatures to around 67 degrees (19C). We will have a partly cloudy day, but any remaining rain showers should decrease through the morning. We still have a very nice forecast, with a better chance of showers on Thursday this week.

We are dealing with some persistent clouds at 8:30 a.m. Those clouds will hang around throughout the day, but the afternoon should be dry for most of us. Tomorrow and Wednesday also look dry, with only a small chance of a morning shower. Thursday a wave of moisture passes through that makes showers more likely, even perhaps one or two in the afternoon. As for temperatures, tomorrow will be fresh in the morning, right around 70 and maybe a bit less if we get a shower, but after that I expect our temperatures to get back to normal, with lows in the lower 70s and highs around 80, getting into the low to mid 80s as the week goes along.

Wind and wave forecast: This morning we have light and variable winds that should turn more easterly as the day goes on, but only 5-10 mph. Seas are at 2 feet and have started to turn from the north to the northeast. Those seas will remain northeasterly most of this week, mostly around 2 feet, with Wednesday being the waviest day, around 3-4 feet.
