Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Samuel Fagone and shows sunset from Sandy Bay Beach. We have a sunny morning, but clouds to our east that may mean a rainier afternoon.

The rain that we thought would come tonight has formed a little early. We can see it on satellite at 7 am. off the Mosquito Coast (our rain factory). Some of the rain is just east of Guanaja, so we may see showers starting midmorning, especially on the east end of the Bay Islands, but rain should become more widespread as we get into the afternoon and mostly end by midnight. After that Sunday and Monday look drier. We’re still looking for a cold front to stall to our north and push a few showers our way Tuesday.
Wind and Galaxy Wave forecast: This morning we wake up to east winds 10-15 mph and seas 2-3 feet. We should calm this afternoon to 5-10 mph east winds but still with 2-3 foot seas. Winds and seas will be similar tomorrow, but winds and seas are looking calmer for Monday through Wednesday.

Roatan Ferry Galaxy Wave already has their Christmas week travel schedule out, so you can plan ahead. Don’t forget to download the app for easy purchase!

Low tides are 4 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. under our full moon. Have a great weekend!
