Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day is the first of our month’s full moon shots. This one comes from Larry Cox on the south side.
So far most of our weather stations have stayed dry as of 6:45 a.m., though Guanaja picked up a third of an inch at 4:45 a.m. Today should be mostly dry, but we have our eyes on an increase in showers possible Saturday night/Sunday morning as well as Tuesday.

Here’s the Euro forecast for the next two weeks. We can see a wave of rain forecast for Saturday evening into Sunday morning. We also see a cold front dying to our north Monday evening into Tuesday. The GFS thinks it will die far enough away to keep our rain chances down, though the Euro still thinks we will get some rain out of it. Most models are showing a stronger norther coming in around the 13th to the 15th that could be a classical island norther with plenty of rain and wind. We’ll keep an eye on it.

Wind and Galaxy Wave forecast: We start the day with east winds 10 mph and 2 foot seas. We should calm a bit this afternoon to 5 mph and 1-2 foot seas. Tomorrow through Monday look much like today.

This weekend is college football conference championship weekend and time to fire up the grill with some great steaks and chops from Carniceria Rosita!

Tonight’s low tide will be at 3:30 a.m. under a “supermoon” so the moon will look super big. Have a great Friday!
