Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day is a rainbow over Pristine Bay and the golf course from Tom Maxfield. Things continue to improve, with the surf starting to ease up on West Bay Beach, though midisland had up to 3 inches of rain in early morning showers.

Here is the satellite from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. The heavy clouds still seem to be over the east side of Roatan and not moving much, but as we go through the morning these storms will weaken. There will still be a chance of a scattered shower midday or afternoon, but most of us should be dry. There will again be a rain chance overnight, but tomorrow looks a bit drier than today and Monday and Tuesday should be mostly sunny.

Here are this morning’s rainfall totals, with over three inches falling in Oak Ridge and Punta Gorda.

Wind and Galaxy Wave forecast: We start the day with very light winds around 5 mph out of the west, but still seas 2-3 feet. We should see those seas calm as we go through the day to 2 feet. Tomorrow afternoon our slight breeze shifts to the east and seas will be 1-2 feet. Monday morning looks fairly calm as well, though Monday evening into the rest of the week we will see the return of easterly trade winds and seas 3-4 feet, especially southside.

Saturday is a great day to stock up on meats at Carniceria Rosita in Coxen Hole and French Harbour.

Lowest tide is at midnight. Have a great weekend!
