Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Dirk Yelinek at Las Sirenas in Camp Bay before our rains came. This morning we still have gusty winds 20-25 mph and seas 6 feet, but we will start seeing those numbers go down today and tomorrow and the weekend looks calmer and drier.

On radar we can see most of the rain is north of us and we haven’t gotten a lot of rain this morning. That’s a good thing, because most of us got 8-10 inches from this norther and La Ceiba picked up 14 inches. We will still be dealing with a few scattered showers today and tomorrow, but we will also have more dry periods and begin to see some sun. West winds today will calm to 17-22 mph and seas 5 feet and tomorrow 12-20 mph and seas 4 feet. By weekend we’re looking at northwest winds 5 mph and seas 2 feet. Next week winds turn to the east and rain chances are low through the week, mostly overnights and mornings. Have a great Thursday!
