Good morning Bay Islands. The rain we were expecting arrived this morning and there may be more on the way. On satellite we can see a large area of rain to our east, moving our way. The worst of it may go to our north, but there will be a good chance of rain today going into tonight. I think tomorrow should be less rainy, but there will still be a good chance of a passing shower. Sunday and Monday look drier with rain returning Tuesday and perhaps Wednesday.

Here are rain totals since midnight. I’m suspicious of the 1.81 for east Sandy Bay. That weather station tends to show high amounts. But most of us have gotten between a third and half an inch.

We wake up to 15 mph east winds with 3 foot seas. We will stay right around there today, getting up to 20 mph winds overnight. Tomorrow will be one of the windier days in the forecast with 20 mph east winds and 3 foot seas during the day and 25 mph and 3-4 feet tomorrow night. Sunday and Monday we will be back to 15 mph east winds and Tuesday and Wednesday look quite calm.

Lowest tide is 3:15 p.m. Have a great Friday!
