Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Katy Pandy in Flowers Bay and shows rain clouds like we have been dealing with this morning. This was the morning for the west side to get a good soaking.

Here is this morning’s rainfall. I didn’t include Utila and Guanaja because they didn’t record any rain.
Here is the satellite from around midnight to about 7:30 a.m. we can see rain intensify, especially over west side Roatan around 6 a.m. We are still dealing with some clouds and chances of passing showers will be around this morning.
Clouds and rain should increase this evening and overnight into tomorrow morning. We will even have scattered showers through the day tomorrow. I know this isn’t great news for Carnival in Utila, but I don’t think it will be an all-day rain, just off and on, and perhaps some locations will get fortunate and miss out, but I think most of us will see some rain. Rain chances will be higher for Saturday, a bit lower Sunday and Monday and a bit higher again for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Wind and Galaxy Wave forecast: Our winds this morning are fairly mild, 10 mph from the east with 2 foot seas. Our winds should increase tonight to 20 mph and 3-4 foot seas. Tomorrow winds will be from the east around 10-15 mph and seas 2-3 feet, and tomorrow night 17-22 mph and seas 3-4 feet. The weekend looks fairly similar, with perhaps a bit windier conditions Saturday night to around 25 mph and 4-5 foot seas.

Your best recipe deserves the best meats. Get them at Carniceria Rosita(Rosita’s Meat Market) in Coxen Hole or French Harbour.

Low tide is 2:30 p.m. as we move into new moon phase overnight. Have a great Thursday!
