Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Brent Brewer in West End.
We are all starting to dry out after two days of good rains, especially on the east end.

We’ll start with our rainfall totals for Friday and Saturday. Rainfall was heavier on the east side, with Politilly the big winner at 4.33 inches. Amounts on the west side were generally around an inch.

Our satellite shows only high clouds over us with any rain well to our north. This time of year is a bit tougher to forecast because unlike winter when we’re watching for northers or the autumn when we’re watching for tropical waves, rain this time of year is squalls that build up over us. That being said our rain chances today through Tuesday look a bit lower, maybe 30 percent each day, and higher Wednesday through Friday.

Wind and Galaxy Wave forecast: Our winds this morning are somewhat calmer than they’ve been recently, from the east 15 mph and seas 2-3 feet. The forecast is for winds to stay right around there today and the first part of this week which is a relief after the strong trade winds of last week.

With waves a little calmer, it is a perfect time to hop over to the mainland for doctor’s visits and shopping on Roatan Ferry Galaxy Wave.

The tide will be quite low at 12:20 p.m. Have a great Sunday!
