Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Dereck Bowen in West End. It was a familiar sight yesterday and many of us got around 2 inches of rain, really good for May. We have quite a storm off to our east at 7:30 a.m.

On satellite this morning we see a strong thunderstorm east of Guanaja at 7:30 a.m. It is stationary and trying to build a little bit back to the west. Generally speaking around this time of day, these type of storms start to weaken a bit, but it is possible we will get some weather this morning, especially for Guanaja and the east end. We will keep a chance of squalls around today, though the chances go down this afternoon. This evening we have a chance of storms and thunderstorms coming back. That chance goes into tomorrow morning, but midday and afternoon tomorrow should be fine.
There is a small chance of a Tuesday night, Wednesday morning shower, but after that we should be dry.

It tells you how strong this storm off to our east is, that you can see it on radar, even though it is completely outside of the range of the Belize City and Cayman Islands radar. If only Honduras had weather radar

🙏

Wind and Galaxy Wave forecast: We have 10 mph west winds and 2 foot seas, though the winds are gusting occasionally due to the influence of the storm to our west. That should calm as the day goes on. Winds will start out light from the west today, from the north this afternoon and turn to the east tomorrow. Wednesday we get back to normal easterly trade winds for the rest of the week into the weekend at 15-20 mph and 3 foot seas daytimes and 20-25 mph and 4 foot seas nighttimes.
