April 2025 rainfall

Sorry for being so late with April rainfall. We had a pretty good month. In what is normally the driest month of the year at around an inch and a half, we record almost three and a half inches, so three times normal rain. 3.43 inches was about average across the big island of Roatan and Guanaja. Utila got a couple of huge downpours earlier in April, so they got 10 inches. May is normally the second driest month at about 2 and a half inches. We have hopes for some rain Sunday through Tuesday morning. Even though I’m not buying the idea that we are in danger of a tropical storm later this month, it does look like there will be more moisture than normal, so I think we have a good shot at a wetter than normal May.
