Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Dirk Yelinek and shows a fire red sunset at Las Rocas. As we’ve gotten drier, our temps have gotten hotter, with several of us getting close to 90 (32C). We may have some cooling morning rains this weekend.

There’s hardly a cloud to be seen on satellite this morning. Today and tomorrow will be dry, but this weekend there are chances of morning showers here or there. It seems that when the winds calm a bit the chances of showers go up.
Wind and Galaxy Wave forecast: Winds this morning are from the east at 15 mph and seas 3 feet, especially southside. Winds will stay around there today and tomorrow, but will calm to 10 mph and 2-3 feet Saturday and 5-10 mph and 1-2 feet Sunday and Monday.

In our extended forecast, we can see more moisture moving in around May 2 or 3, as illustrated in this Euro moisture forecast with yellows and reds. It looks like we might have a rare early May rain system brewing. It’s too early to be sure, but we’ll keep an eye on it.
