Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Joe Byrne and shows an unusual sunset that looks like it has a hole in the middle. I suspect that the sun was setting over the mountains of the mainland and a couple of the mountains blocked out the setting sun’s rays causing this blue streak in the middle. We are breezy and about to get windy.

The image I can show you that says the most about the weather is this one. Today and tomorrow we will have moderate east winds, mostly 15-20 mph and seas, but starting Tuesday night and all the way through next weekend we will have strong trade winds, 20-25 mph and 4 foot seas days and 30-40 mph (sometimes a bit more) at night with seas around 6 feet. If you want to go out on the sea Wednesday or thereafter, stay inside the reef on the northwest side of the island. Otherwise you are in for a bumpy ride.
The forecast is dry. There are some indications we may get a few showers Semana Santa week, but it is still a bit early to tell.

If you want a nice place to enjoy the breeze, go to Ikigai in French Harbour and sit out on their lovely deck and enjoy their Sunday lobster special.

Lowest tide is 3:30 p.m. Have a great Sunday!
