Good morning Bay Islands. It is not often that we get a same-day photo of the day, but Mark Kohay sent this picture from this morning’s fishing trip near Pristine Bay.
We have a couple more days with good chances of rainbows, but as we get into dry season we will, unfortunately, see fewer of these.

There aren’t a lot of clouds on satellite at 9 a.m., but they brought between a quarter and half inch of rain mid and east island. West Roatan managed to miss most of it. A couple of clouds look like they might pass Utila this hour. Except for a stray shower this morning, we should stay dry today. Tomorrow there will be scattered showers throughout the day. A chance of showers extends into Saturday morning, but starting Saturday afternoon into next week we look pretty dry.

Wind and Galaxy Wave forecast: We are keeping pretty steady at 15 mph east winds and 3 foot seas, especially southside. as we extend into next week we will see easterly trade winds get a bit stronger each day until toward the end of the week we will be 20 mph daytimes and 30 mph overnights.

Roatan Operation Animal Rescue is holding a fundraiser Feb. 15 at Snappers starting at 4 p.m. Tickets are $50 online, $55 at the door.

Your ticket includes dinner, a Hurricane (or non-alcoholic drink), and dessert.

Tides will be quite low a little after 11 p.m. Have a great Thursday!
