Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Elizabeth Brown looking toward French Harbour. Remember the top five liked photos on Facebook compete Feb. 1 for bed and breakfast for one night for two at Paya Bay Resort. I’m starting to look for a sponsor for February’s contest. If you’re interested let me know.
We have a few showers around this morning and many of us have picked up a few hundredths of an inch, though Guanaja has gotten .39. We will keep a few showers around today.

On satellite at 7:30 a.m. we can see quite a bit of cloudiness around, but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of rain in here. We will keep a chance of a shower around throughout today, but we should have plenty of dry periods in between.
Starting tomorrow and through the rest of the week we will have chances of overnight and early morning rain, while most of our middays and afternoons will be dry.
Wind and Galaxy Wave forecast: We start the day quite wavy with 15 mph northeast winds and seas 5-6 feet. Winds should get calmer as the day goes on and seas down to 4-5 feet. Tomorrow and Tuesday look calmer still, with light and variable winds and seas 2-3 feet.
Wednesday afternoon through the rest of the week we get stronger trade winds back with east winds 17-25 mph and seas 3-5 feet.

The next couple of days will be great times to get on the ferry and go exploring the mainland. And remember Roatan Ferry Galaxy Wave takes precautions to ensure your safety.

Low tides are 1 p.m. and 1 a.m. Have a great Sunday!
