Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Wynnona McKay and shows West Bay just after sundown. If you go to West Bay today you will have a wavier experience than Wynnona did.

This morning at 8 a.m. we are getting some clearing over Roatan and Guanaja, while Utila is still dealing with some clouds and rain. Utila has gotten 2-3 inches since midnight after 3-4 inches yesterday. We should all see decreasing rain through midday and afternoon, a welcome break from the rain, before rain, sometimes heavy, returns through the day tomorrow. Saturday will be much like today, with a few morning showers and very windy.
Sunday we will have scattered showers and Monday morning showers leading to a drier week next week.

Wind and Galaxy Wave forecast: Boy are we windy today. Some of the buoys are picking up 30 mph southwest winds and 6-7 foot seas. We should calm slightly by afternoon to 20-25 mph west winds and 5-6 foot seas.
Winds continue from the west tomorrow at 12-17 mph and seas around 4 feet.
Saturday winds turn to the northeast at 15-20 mph and seas 5-6 feet.
Sunday winds will be from the east/northeast at 15 mph and seas 4 feet.
Early next week winds will be calmer and seas 2-3 feet before we get heavier trade winds back for the end of next week.

Low tides are 11:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. Have a great Thursday!
