Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Chad Kemper, showing the sun setting on an outgoing cruise ship near Sandy Bay.
Many of us got a very small shower around 5 a.m. but only picked up .01 to .05 of an inch. We will have a great weather day today.

On satellite at 8 a.m. we see mostly sunny skies with only a few clouds around. It is not impossible that someone sees a morning shower, especially toward Utila, but it won’t amount to much. We should be mostly sunny today. Tomorrow we have a chance of morning showers and Wednesday we have scattered showers through the day, especially in the morning and late evening. Thursday into the weekend looks quite nice, with only a small chance of a morning shower.
Wind and Galaxy Wave forecast: Winds are quite calm this morning but seas beyond the reef are still around 3 feet. Those winds and seas will last through today, but tomorrow winds will continue light and variable, but seas will calm to 2 feet.
Wednesday winds will increase through the day, from the northeast at 10 mph and seas 2-3 feet in the morning to 20 mph and seas 4-5 feet in the evening. Thursday winds will start to turn to the east 10-20 mph and seas 3-4 feet.

I don’t mention temperatures much in my forecasts because they don’t change much, but we have had some quite cool mornings around 73 degrees (22.8C), but sea temperatures are still around 80 degrees (26.7), so perfect conditions for a dip in the sea from the Jolly Roger Roatan catamaran.

Lowest tide is 9 p.m. Have a great week!
