Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Trish Johnson and shows two primary types of clouds. The cirrus clouds in the foreground have a beautiful pattern and the cumulus clouds in the background frame the photo in Calabash Bight. Send your photos with name and location for one of the last chances at a $50 gift certificate to Roatan Oasis.
Our beautiful weather continues.

On satellite at 8:30 a.m. we see storms well to our north. They aren’t moving anywhere fast, so we should continue to be partly cloudy with a very low chance of a stray shower. Our next best chance of rain comes Sunday into Monday morning.
Wind and Galaxy Wave forecast: We wake up to very light winds and seas 1-2 feet. Starting this weekend we will see our winds turn to the east, the dominant direction for winds on the Bay Islands, but we haven’t had trade winds in a long time during this rainy season. When they turn to the east, especially for New Year’s Day and the second, they will be around 15 mph.

With all these calm seas, it is time to do some after-holiday sale shopping and take advantage of Roatan Ferry Galaxy Wave’s schedule that covers all our Bay Islands.

Lowest tide is just after midnight. Have a great Thursday!
