Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Keri Weitz Meyer of a beautiful sunset over Calabash Bight. Remember on New Year’s Day we will be voting for the photo of the month and the winner of a $50 gift certificate to Roatan Oasis restaurant.
Most of us have gotten between half an inch to an inch of steady rain as of 9 a.m. Rain should continue today but we are still looking forward to a drier week ahead.

We still have quite a bit of cloudiness overhead. Rain isn’t terribly heavy, but where it falls, it is steady. We will continue to see off-and-on rain throughout today and perhaps into tomorrow morning. We should start clearing out midday tomorrow. Over the next week we will still have a chance of an occasional shower, but the rain should be much less than we have experienced past weeks.
Wind and Galaxy Wave forecast: We start the day with north winds at 15 mph and seas around 4 feet. We will begin to calm today, down to 3 feet by evening. Tomorrow north winds will be 10 mph and seas 2-3 feet. Starting Tuesday, things get quite calm with light north winds and seas 1-2 feet. It truly will be a nice weather week.
Continued thanks for all of your concern. Mrs. Roatan Weather got out of Centro Médico Ramos yesterday and is resting comfortably. We will resume our trip to the States tomorrow.

I don’t know about you, but that pork leg roasted with pineapple looks too good for words. Get your pork cut to your preference at Carniceria Rosita.

Lowest tide is 10 p.m. Have a great Sunday!
