Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Mary Beth Adams. I always appreciate divers who are willing to go out on a rainy day. You don’t know it’s raining 40 feet down.
Our weak norther won’t bring us too much in the way of wind and waves, but it will keep the rain around through the weekend, but on the bright side, we are looking for a sunnier week next week.

On satellite at 8:30 a.m. you can see that the center of our rain is to our west over Puerto Cortez. But enough rain has come our way for Utila to pick up over an inch this morning and most of us to get a quarter of an inch or so around 6 a.m. These clouds should hang around and we should have off-and-on rain showers through the weekend. Starting Monday, we get clearer skies and less rain, only an occasional shower through the week.
Wind and Galaxy Wave Forecast: We start the day with north/northwest winds 5-10 mph and seas 1-2 feet. Winds will remain fairly calm today and tomorrow, but seas will increase a little, 2 feet today, 3 feet tomorrow and 4 feet Sunday morning. Sunday will be the windiest day with north winds around 15 mph.
Starting Monday afternoon, winds will be light and variable through most of next week, with seas around 2 feet. It really will be a nice week next week.

Today is an exciting day for Roatan Ferry Galaxy Wave. They are debuting a new route from Roatan to Utila. Now Galaxy connects all the islands and the mainland!
Many thanks to those who reached out about Mrs. Roatan Weather’s unfortunate fall. Thanks to the team at Centro Médico Ramos. Dr. Trejo and Dr. Ramos’ team put Susan’s ankle back together and she is resting comfortably at Ramos’ hospital.

Low tides are 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. Have a great Friday!
